Is there a minimum order?

No minimums!

How long do the meals last?

Meals are made fresh weekly from our local kitchen and packaged in a way that they will stay fresh for up to 5-7 days. You may be able to freeze some of the meals and reheat later, but we would not recommend this for longer than 2 months.

What is the best way to reheat the meals?

Each of the meals can be reheated simply by microwaving them. For optimum flavor and texture, we do recommend heating food in a skillet or on a baking sheet in the oven.  How you reheat the meals is totally up to you, as there are so many options.  For example, many of our customers love to reheat the Vegan Sweet Potatoes Pancakes in the toaster and you can find Carmen often just eating that shit cold!

WHAT IS THE NORMAL PORTION SIZES FOR THE MEALS?

The portion sizes depend on the plan that you select, but typically follow the below sizes:

Basic

This is our ala carte menu that includes: bulk orders, nosh & nibbles (our fancy way to say snacks) and fat sauces (coming soon!)

Balance

3-4oz protein

1 TB (1 oz) healthy fat
A good serving of veggies

Build

Are 100% of your foods Organic?

We choose to use all organic ingredients, whenever possible, as it is important to us that we are providing the absolute best foods that are available for each of your meals.  We are not 100% organic primarily because we attempt to shop local for our foods.  Getting certified organic is freaking expensive and some of the local farms that do follow organic practices cannot afford the certification.

Where is the food made?

All meals are cooked and prepared in a commercial kitchen space in downtown Albany. Our chefs are certified in safe food handling practices and we adhere to all health code regulations. The quality and care of your food is of the utmost importance to us.

Are you a Certified Gluten Free Kitchen*?

*We do not use gluten in any of our meals and everything we sell is gluten free. Then why aren’t we certified gluten free? The kitchen space that we use is a shared space that allows other businesses to prepare their foods in the kitchen on days we are not there. Because we do not have 100% control of what other tenants bring into the kitchen, we cannot guarantee that their food is being prepped gluten free as well. Everything that we prepare and serve you is 100% gluten free and at no time do we use gluten in our production of your meals.

What the details on the bags and containers you use?

At this time we use insulated bags to transport your food and ensure that it stays fresh at no cost to you.  However, we do ask that you exchange your empty bag with the the new bag each week so we can wash and reuse the insulated bags.  This will help us to help reduce waste to the environment!

We use containers that are BPA free and are manufactured to specifically reduce our carbon footprint by using environmentally friendly products.  They are also microwave, dishwasher, and freezer safe.  Feel free to reuse your containers as you see fit!
